New varietal (Susumaniello from Puglia, Italy) for me! Deep purple color. Aromas of blackberry and raisins. Extremely fruit forward flavors of blackberry, figs and plums. Hint of tobacco on the very long finish. No evidence of any oak treatment. Super soft tannins. Nice complimentary acidity. Easy drinker. Best for pizza/pasta or other simple dishes. Outstanding QPR. Something different and unique. Revisited in September 2022. Still young and fresh.

Not very complex or district, bit a nice black berry ish wine. Dark purple- medium bodied.. relatively lite tannins. Very nice with our meatball grinders. Nice afterwards too.
