2017 vintage. Richer, rounded style. Strawberries and cream, raspberry compote, little herbal thing going on.

Per the winery, this South African Rose’ is a blend of Mourvèdre (50%), Syrah (30%) and Grenache (20%) and named after the owner’s English bulldog. Light pink/salmon color. Aromas of red berries, citrus fruit and sea spray. Flavors of strawberry, rhubarb, lemon zest with a bit of mineral on the medium-plus length finish. Bright acidity, but lacking a bit of texture. Very fruit forward. More than reasonable, but not extraordinary.

Rich late summer fruits... apricot and yellow cherry... and a hint of slate. Light fruits on the palate, a bit of richness to the body, lingering minerals.
My final 2023 rosé 🤭

Dark rose with vibrant pink notes. Rich strawberry and cranberry fruit, with steely graphite on the nose. Juicy plum fruit, with just enough acidity. Serve chilled. Paired with chicken alferdo pasta.

A little fruity. But yet, a solid rose.
