Beautiful merlot & Cabernet franc blend, great fruit velour, wonderful acid traction, ends with friendly fruit balance on fine chocolat tannins, yum!

High ratings for the region. Drinking beautifully now, could lay down another 5-10 years to calm down the sharp edges a bit further. Velveteen, good balance of fruit and acid. Soft tannins. 65% Merlot, 35% Cab Franc.

Racy northern Michigan garrigue. Has legs to go quite a while longer. Underrated.

Hopefully time will improve? Started strong 2 years ago, not sure it's headed the right direction. Still good balance, but fruit seems more faded than I expected based on early bottles...

2011. A bit extracted, but pretty drinkable.

Good merlot can franc blend from leelanau peninsula. Ripe fruit up front with a bit of a sustained and mineral finish. A little light in body but a very drinkable wine
