This is the best one yet. Still 4 AVA, MT Veeder, Howell Mt, Coombsville, and Stags. Dark, full of dried herb and violet nuances, and a griping rich full body, over performing the last two vintages by a long shot. This one has some great years ahead of it.

Nose offers vanilla, sweet tobacco, clove, lavender, molasses, creme de cassis, candied blackberry, cocoa, espresso, mushroom, and earth. Opulent tannins, soft oak, and herbal notes on the palate. Elegance and complexity combined.

Aug 18th, 2019excellent but very young. decanted 3 hours and drank over the next 3. all the other descriptions are dead on. the tannins are very pronounced upon open and very present after 2 hours. it loosened up and was very drinkable after 3.5. tried this against the 2013 Hunnicutt which was more approchable after 2 hours. served with ribeye on the grill paired perfectly
