L'Antico Portofino Çimixà

First club wine from High Treason wine bar SF. Erich said it smells like “the box you keep Xmas ornaments in” and he is NOT wrong.. 😹 a little metallic, piney, resinous on the nose, but it tastes clean and fresh with a light fruit component (lychee, lemon, tart apple)

A tropical fruit salad. Hints of citrus, pineapple and coconut. Tart, but sort of creamy too. Rich. Fun drop! 5th one I have had this year.

I like this wine quite a bit. Excellent with broccoli rabe pasta. White and yellow fruits. Fairly full and rich. In some ways it reminds of Chardonnay, but it is Cimixa.

Fairly ripe and round. Nice fruit expression, some minerality. Paired well with scallops Provençal.

Excellent fresh, crisp fruity white.

Unique smell. Fabulous structure and acidity. A bit salty. Yum

Nice balance between acid and fruit here, good mineral component, solid weekday white. Stir fry.
