Serious Aglianico. Tannic beast with tremendous intensity and complexity. Resinous, smoky aromas and notes of cherry, plum, black currant, herbs, peppermint candy, menthol, coffee and tobacco. Very mineral-driven palate impression overall, and with searing tannins that still need some time to settle down. Time should be rewarding- this is already a terrific wine that brings some serious value.

Has progressed well since I drank one of my other bottles. Excited to continue to see the progression over the next 5+ years.

Big, extracted Aglianico. Not the style I tend to like, but this is well made. Fig, pepper, a dusty quality, and quite tannic.

A little extracted but nice rich mid-palette with scorched earth, black fruits, and hints of incense. Good.

A really nice wine showing its age well. Rustic and layered with dust, leather, dark red fruit and smoke. Tannic but balanced with great structure. Nice value at $15.

Really love this one! Full bodied. Little dill. Could use decanting.

After about 20 minutes in the decanter, this underwent a very rapid transformation, from overly sweet to juicy yet almost bone dry, with petrol and volcanic notes predominant. Fun to drink.
