Oropasso Originale Chardonnay Garganega

This was good, an interesting blend of Chardonnay and Garganega each contributing something quite different to the wine. The result was not dissimilar to a Viognier in its richness, fairly shy acidity and ripe fruit flavours. Tons of apricot both on the nose and the palate. The wine fell short of what you’d call a long finish, which was a shame - but otherwise a decent effort and a great QPR (this cost around £10).

Toegankelijke niet al te complexe wijn, best lekker, in de afdronk komen de zuren wat meer naar voren, maar niet te veel, blijft een prettig mondgevoel. En dat na een week open in de koelkast…

Viognier-like nose of flowers, white fruit and something confectionary, like a candyshop. Light and fresh on the palate, an easy quaffer, clipped finish. Average plus.

Smell of white fruit and flowers, peach and ripe pineapple, light body, low acids, pretty friendly and elegant.
