I picked this from the menu at a 1 hat restaurant on the Tweed River. Not much choice to be honest. This is way too early to be drinking this and should be left for another 5 years before approaching. This was quite lean with grapefruit and citrus notes The wine spent 10 months on yeast lees in French barrels, of which 25% were new. Cellar it.

Creamy and rich, intense acidity, notes of white flowers, lemon, a hint of grapefruit with a bit of chalky minerality

Nice tight acid line. Gentle balanced oak. This'll look pretty damn good for the next few years...

Balanced oak and soft creamy, with a fruit vanilla finish. Great Chardonnay.

Some tasting notes in the 16' entry. Bindi's Chardy truly has a unique place in Australian wine (and in a way, even more so than the Pinots).

Tasted alongside Michael at the 16' vintage reveal earlier this week. I think a warmer vintage can do wonders for marginal climates, such as the Macedon. Of course, with the right viticulture and picking decisions. 16' has produced a remarkable rendition of the Kostas. Layered, rich, seamless. Bright citrus fruit, lots of grapefruit in fact, floral, mineral, leesy, restraint oak.

Note: Tasted alongside the 09', which was another warm year. A nice insight to how the 16' might develop - the 09' has an almost pervasive lanolin character, fruit's giving way to some mealy and bitter almond notes, very mineral, and perhaps a little more weight and richness. My notes had the word purity attached to both wines

Loads of stone fruit and floral notes on the nose. A bit simple, nothing special in terms of flavour profile but quite long
