A dark flavor that is not too heavy. Very drinkable. Bought this at the Biltmore Estate after drinking this in their pub with shepherd's pie. Also had it at home with stesk, mushrooms, brocvoli, and shrimp.

Jan 29th, 2020Along w/all other wines I’ve had so far from Biltmore, this was well balanced and generous. Not the heavyweight: still had healthy dose of black fruit, vanillin oak treatment and fairly sturdy tannins. Drank smooth thru finish - very enjoyable (if straight-forward) and North Carolina grown fruit!

Apr 29th, 2019They say it is pleasantly dry with rich vanilla aromas, bold fruit flavors and light tannins. I call it a nice merlot
