Big Table Farm
Laughing Pig Pinot Noir Rosé
Light salmon in color with a pink hue.
Fruity nose of raspberries, strawberries, cherries, spices, light herbs, citrus, limes and light vegetables.
Medium bodied with medium plus acidity. Crisp and refreshing.
Dry on the palate with cherries, strawberries, earth, spices, citrus, pears, red apples, minerals and white pepper.
Nice finish with spices and limes.
This is a very tasty Rosé from Oregon. Nicely balanced with a soft and elegant mouthfeel.
Good by itself or with food. Showing nice complexity and very easy to drink, so watch out.
I paired it with a Charcuterie board of meats and cheeses.
100% Pinot Noir grapes. Unfiltered and unfined. A small production of only 450 cases.
14.2% alcohol by volume.
91 points.
$36.

One of the most rich, unctuous rosés out there. 100% Willamette Pinot. The deep color foreshadows a lush, rich mouthfeel. Strawberry, rhubarb, orange rind, sour cherry, and watermelon blend with rich earthy soil and mineral components. Not just for warm weather, this is a year round wine. ‘17 vintage is really well balanced and lower alcohol than prior years.

Sep 30th, 2019The 2018 ‘Laughing Pig’ Rose by Big Table Farm was aged in neutral oak barrels prior to being released in mid-April 2019. Showing off its rich, dark hue, the 2018 ‘Laughing Pig’ opens with serious aromatic range from shades of honeydew melon to citrus rind and copious ripe red fruits that all connect in the glass. The palate shows a silly texture and weight, yet retains a wonderful sense of elegance. Bright guava, nectarine, and cran-pomegranate with red cherry candy flavors collide with the bright sense of minerality. The exceedingly long finish accentuates this simply gorgeous new Rose. While delightful in its youth, this will cellar well for the next seven plus years. Drink 2019-2025- 93

Jun 10th, 2019This beautiful Rosé of Pinot Noir was pressed and then stored in neutral oak prior to bottling. Unfined and unfiltered, this is one of the best of its kind from winemaker Brian Marcy of Big Table Farm. This instantly impresses with its wonderful vibrance and verve, followed by gorgeous characteristics of ripe strawberries and guava purée which soar from the glass. The palate is nearly irresistible with cranberries, white cherries and orange zest undertones. This is richly textured, yet the underlying acidity makes it highly refreshing. This is one of the finest Rosé wines in all of North America. Drink 2019-2025- 93

Aug 1st, 2018You can see the OR terroir here. I picked up a lot of orange zest and fresh strawberry with a soil note. From big @Joe Lucca

May 12th, 2018The 2019 Big Table Farm ‘Laughing Pig’ Rose is another thrilling Rose bottling from this famed Oregon estate. On the nose this has seriously good range from wild mushroom tones and peat moss that are woven together with guava and pomegranate seed aromatics that all sing in unison in the glass. The palate is silky smooth, showing a pillowy texture and wonderful, gratifying length. Shades of cantaloupe and green apple combine with ripe Yakima cherry, and cran-pomegranate flavors. The earthy undertones round out this extraordinary Rose wine that will have a long life ahead of it, picking up tertiary tones as it ages. Having recently tried their 2017 Rose, I can state firsthand that their Rose ages well. Drink 2020-2027- 93
