Has this at a tasting. A bit odd with bourbon barrel aging. Aromas of sweet fruit oak and smoke. On the palate sweet jammy fruit flavors overpowered by oak and spiciness with notes of vanilla, caramel and a bit if s bourbon taste. Racy tannins on medium finish ending a little hot with an alcohol burn. Ok, but with all going on the fruit takes a backseat.

Big Bourbon Taste as the name suggests with the Bourbon/Alcohol Burn overpowering the wine. After about 45 minutes, the bourbon flavor takes a backseat to strawberry, and Red cherry notes. Paired it with Caramelized Walnuts and Dark Chocolate and it did well, however it wasn’t great as a stand-alone. The overtly strong Bourbon Barreled notes felt like novelty to me. Does pack a 15.6% ABV.

By itself, u may be disappointed, but with some good BBQ it works pretty well. Ruby red with spice, oak, and cherry aromas. It’s got a spice note, grapey jammy flavors, and a minor bit on the finish. Worked well with our Burgundy Peppered Tri-tip for dinner.

Wasn’t sure what to expect. First taste after immediately opening was oddly alcoholic and tasted a bit like the ocean. After sitting the wine became complex and had notes of caramel, vanilla and fruit. Got better as it sat so best to open and let it air before serving.

Really enjoyed this, jammy and bourbon barrel aged adds a nice spice. Good mid priced wine.

Full bodied. Jammy, blackberry flavors then a smoky, boozy finish. Good with pizza
