Bevan Cellars
EE Cabernet Sauvignon Blend
Drink them all up soon. Better a few years back. IMHO

Nov 6th, 2020Did I drink this really late after I’d had 40+ wines with very little pour out? Yes, yes I did your honor. My takeaway is that it is also showing very young. Silky mouthfeel, marked purity, dark chocolate. Very high octane well made wine that needs ample air.

May 19th, 2019Day 3 in Napa in the books! Running a day behind on notes...Napa time runs slow AND fast!
Where as normal Tench was feminine in style (loads of fruit), this had smoked meat, herbal and savory notes alongside baked blue and blackberries. Incredible structure while also being accessible (Bevan style). Really enjoyed this.

Nothing short of amazing. The nose gives this scent of alcohol, savory notes of stuffed bell peppers and crockpot roast, odd but true...I also get a hint of grilled grape jam. So light on the palate yet focused showing gobs of black juicy fruits and pencils ✏️ lead. Mid palate shows strong, more fruit than savory notes. Finish is a show stopper, loads of fruit-blackberries, smoke and goodness. Well over a minute finish.

1 person found it helpfulFeb 5th, 201710' Bevan EE cuvée Red. 65% CB 30% CF 5% PV. Dark. Heavy sediment. I tried this wine a few years back and knew it needed some time. Dumped this wine in the decanter for about 60 minutes... it's ready to go. The tannins were a little heavy for me initially. After this was decanted, the fruit really shined. Striking dark brick red/purple in color. The edges have that ruby red tint to it. Classic black fruits to it. Tobacco, rustic coffee, licorice. NEW oak. Long & lingering finish. People who love red- blends… Crowd pleaser!
Edit- Don't know if I would sit this wine down for more than 5 years. Getting much better??? Drinking now- ?

Better than the Sugarloaf! Big fruit with a touch of Earth. Can't wait for Russell to come back to AC!
