This is just gorgeous right now!! The bottle age has really placed the Cab Franc at center stage. Lovely fruit, but also so many interesting layers of fresh herbs, pipe tobacco, and a bit of leather. I’d love to drink this again in 10 more years.

WOW!! Cherry pie dark and huge!! Still soft tannins and elegant. Perfectly well balanced! Over the top!! This wine has brass b_ _ _ s!! Russell is a monster!

Oct 15th, 2017Drinking very nicely now. The cab franc is really showing off its character with violets, tobacco, and cedar. The cab sauv gives a nice core of fruit. Lots of smiles.

This blend of cab franc and merlot has less forward fruit than most of Russell and Victoria's wines and more expression of terroir. Beautiful aromas fresh flowers and graphite and more subtle purple fruit on the palate and a long finish. This is age worthy. What a great producer and great people Russell and Victoria are!
