2007. This has got it all rolling. A master blend, nose pleaser of red/dark fruit, dark tea/leather, spice and I'm guessing some violets. Mouth coating red/dark fruit and spice leaves me wishing I didn't share this bottle although what is wine for if not to share? Glad to have more.

2007 vintage. Dark fruits with a touch of funk on the nose. On the palate it's got great dark fruits, solid structure and a nice finish. K

A really good night of wine drinking. We followed the '07 Betz Cabernet Sauvignon 'Père de Famille' with the '07 Betz Bordeaux Blend 'Clos de Betz'. Also, a deep ruby red, this outstanding effort displayed nice aromas of dark fruit, anise and violets. Dark chocolate and coffee flavors are also evident on the palate. The softer tannins still provide a nice backbone that lead to a lengthy finish.
