Bergström Wines
Sigrid Chardonnay

We love this wine, but it’s grossly overpriced. Green apples and lychee on the nose transitions to soft, supple notes of marzipan, along with a velvety texture. What we love about this wine is its ability to age. No worries holding onto this into the short to medium-term. But for the love of god, throw us a bone on pricing, please 🙏🏾

Almonds and brioche on the nose. Marzipan on the mid palate, along with pineapples. Very youthful presentation with beautiful acidity and freshness. Shocked that this is 12 years old.presented so well. Sidecut restaurant, Four Seasons, Whistler, BC.

Vivid straw-yellow. A suave, intensely perfumed bouquet features fresh pear, tangerine, iodine, buttered toast and smoky minerals that show superb definition and spicy lift. Penetrating, concentrated and sharply focused; a core of juicy acidity supports powerful orchard and citrus fruit and honeysuckle flavors that deepen through the midpalate. Rich but lithe as well, with superb finishing energy and mineral-driven tenacity. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, September 2020)

Opened a few fun bottles to celebrate my birthday this past weekend. Cheers to 31!
Pale yellow in the glass. Fruit is very bright...lemon, underripe peach, and limestone aromatics. Quite strong acidity upfront...reminiscent of a nice Chablis. Because of the structure and acidity, I think this is best enjoyed slightly warmer than cellar temp. It rounds things out. Definitely not an overoaked Chardonnay, but just a kiss of it to keep it from being racy. Lemon zest and caramelized green apple highlight the finish. I’d have no problem holding these another year or two, but great now if warmed up slightly.

Aromatically closed, needs time or decanting. Nice texture and energy

Magnificent. 2014 has a warm creamy undertone on top of perfect balance of acidity and fruit. Very Burgundian! Just outstanding.
