A nose of delicious raspberry scone, with bits of Spanish flake salt.

Lots of salinity, at first lip pursing, then some of those tart alpine fruits come out, high altitude blueberry, sage, and wild bramble berry patches. Forest floor herbs, dark, dank, and savory.

The entry level wine. Mocha, red fruit, a touch of tar. Not much mid-palate but very drinkable. Pairs with popcorn apparently. I can believe it.

Decent red fruited nose mingled with minerals and a tart note: on the palate it was thin w/astringent finish. Maybe I got a bottle that was hot, but it was tough to find charm in this wine.

Nice drinking wine with a nice acidic dryness going down. Nice complement to lamb. Cheers

Great value. Cherry, balanced spice and sweetness. Will definitely add to our rotation of Washington blends.

The 2012 Calico was rated 89 pts by Wine Spectator and I agree. A good wine with some structure and a little mineral. It leaves you wanting another sip which I've found lacking in some higher priced wines. I'm getting more.

Fantastic wine at an incredible price point. Lots of complexity and very well balanced that you would not expect in this price range. A 'go to' daily wine. Enjoyed 5-7-16 2009 vintage.
