Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course several hours. The “Brut Réserve”pours a straw color with medium viscosity, and a persistent mousse. On the nose, the wine is developing. Initially, very autolytic with a toasted brioche nose that seemed to overwhelm other characteristics. Over the course of 30min however, this balanced out with the fruit and the nose became much fresher with fascinating notes of quince, kumquat, lemon meringue, cashews, chalky minerals along with freshly baked croissant. On the palate, the wine is dry with high acid. Confirming the notes from the nose, the finishes is medium+ with a slightly chalky finish. A tremendous non-vintage champagne. Disgorged 12/20

Popped and poured; enjoyed over the course of a few hours. Bérêche’s “Brut Réserve” continues to be the benchmark for standard NV’s. This bottle pours a beautiful burnished gold color with a persistent, fine mousse. A mix of bright red raspberries, peach, lemons, light brioche and chalky minerals. Rich, yet zippy. Round, yet laser focused. Finish is long. Superb balanced. The kind of Champagne that spoils you. Disgorged 12/2020; 7g/L dosage.

Yeah, fantastic. Oak aging + no malo = excellent complexity.

2021 base with a larger than usual addition of reserve wines. Seemed to have more richness and depth than previous iterations. Worth seeking out!

Youthful intervention from Vincent and Raphael Bereche results in one of the best bottles of Champagne I’ve opened at home.

Distinct and zippy. Solera style perpetual blending (dating to my birth year - 1985) contributes color, depth, and richness.

There is fresh bread from lees aging, but this wine is driven by red fruit. Severely underpriced, I grabbed as much as I could.
