First Benovia for me. Riper style zin, with some black pepper on the mid-palate, and showing a little alcoholic warmth in the finish. The label says 15.2% ABV, but I suspect it might be a little higher. Good, but it’s not going to join my regular rotation.

Takes a while to open up - had it in a decanter for 30 min and it needed more than double that. But once it opened, my lord, was it good. Soft, supple approach, with raisin and molasses, and more of the fruit seeping through in a warm, spicy finish.
