Really good structure and still generous fruit in a more subtle, balanced and complex personality.

Really delicious. Richness and density along with clean structure. No hurry to drink but why wait?

Smooth and silky, a classy Zinfandel without some of the more common rough edges.

Rhubarb, pepper, bell pepper, soft tannins, dash of oak, spices, cherry...

First Benovia for me. Riper style zin, with some black pepper on the mid-palate, and showing a little alcoholic warmth in the finish. The label says 15.2% ABV, but I suspect it might be a little higher. Good, but it’s not going to join my regular rotation.

Pretty balanced zin from a very pretty winery. Taste is not over the top.

Takes a while to open up - had it in a decanter for 30 min and it needed more than double that. But once it opened, my lord, was it good. Soft, supple approach, with raisin and molasses, and more of the fruit seeping through in a warm, spicy finish.

Perfect afternoon wine with some candied pecans, goat cheese and crackers. But it’s yummy enough to drink anytime. 😉
