La Costa Dolcetto d'Alba

Good Dolcetto. Raspberry, plum skin, violet, flowers, hot wet bricks/clay, cardboard, light tannin and acid. Somewhat uninteresting, but good after it opens up.

Transported to the autostrada, but stopping at every town to smell the flowers

Asphalt, violets, and nutmeg on the nose. Bursts of boysenberry and blackberries pop on the palate. A carpet of fine tannins, acidity keeps everything agile and moving. Such a great drinking dolcetto. Just doesn't have that extra ummph!

High toned black cherry fruit with asphalt, licorice and brett. Delicious.
Keep a case in hand.

A nice drink.

Nose of Red flowers, cranberry, black cherry, and crushed brick. Dry as all hell, with intense acid structure. Rich on the nose and lean on the palate.

Nice recommendation, @Delectable Wine -- bought this off your everyday faves and it's bright, tangy, and perfect with pork.

Not as killer as the 2012...a bit more austere and acidic, but still some damn good juice for the money.
