Just concluded the annual Fall seclusion at our cabin in the Rangeley lakes region of Maine, mobile service up there is mostly non-existent, after several days I am posting again. (Notes this year were avoided, but scores are honest.)

Belle Pente (bell-pont') means "beautiful slope" - for their 70 acre hillside vineyard & winery site in Willamette Valley. Bright Ruby red with aromas of red fruits, herb spices and hints of blossom notes. On the palate strawberry and cherry flavors, slight sweet undertones, herb notes and smooth tannins. Well balanced on a long finish ending with mineral herb notes. Nice!! Great value.

Had this at a local wine shop #pinotnoir invite-only tasting event. I’ll have to start checking out #willamettevalley AVAs more now. @Jeff Hasmann ‘s review was spot with from my mental tasting notes; I also noticed nice layers of perfume. I enjoyed talking to the winemaker and proprietor around some of the challenges of the hot 2015 and 2016 weather.
