Belle Pente Vineyard Pinot Noir

Belle Pente means "beautiful slope", 70 acre hillside vineyard on a historic 1840s farmstead 2 miles east of Carlton in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. Beautiful nose with ripe berry & floral scents mingling in the glass. Fresh fruit flavors of raspberry & sweet cherry, hints of vanilla oak spice, great balance with vivid acidity. Smooth tannins, lingering finish ending with cedar tones & a nudge of spice. An enjoyable Pinot at great price. Has aging benefits, but why wait. 667 cases, grab all bottles you can find.

Shimmering red. Powerful aromas of fresh red berries, cherry pit, blood orange and minerals, with a touch of licorice adding depth. Sweet and seamless in the mouth, offering densely packed black raspberry and bitter cherry flavors that put on weight and pick up a spicy topnote with air. Shows very good breadth and seamless texture, finishing with impressive clarity, harmonious tannins and a lingering red fruit preserve quality. (Josh Raynolds, Vinous, June 2019)

Aging has done this wine well, IMO still has many more years, great red fruit, strong tannins for Pinot… great pepper spice… big fan of this vineyard!!!

2015 Vintage. Rhubarb. Cola nut. Herbs. Rose petals. Light-medium body. With an impressively lengthy finish. Pretty.

I love these guys but not nearly as interesting as others of theirs I’ve had. Surprising because I love the 2015s.

A bit bold for a Pinot

I’ve loved everything I’ve had from these guys previously but this seems a little one dimensional and not as big and bight as the 2012 and 2009s I’ve had

Easy drinking Pinot. Jammy - but with a nice balance of acid and structure.
