Nov 28th, 2021Crafted by Joseph J. Wagner, 4th generation winemaker, with winemaking roots in the Napa Valley since 1906. Deep Ruby with red berry fruit aromas, tea and sweet spice notes. On the palate flavors of jammy blackberry and cherry with pronounced sweet vanilla oak, cacao and pepper spice notes. Soft tannins and bright acidity, well balanced, with mineral tones on a long finish ending with toasty spice! Nice! A restaurant favorite!

1 person found it helpfulJan 7th, 2023This Pinot Noir (Syrah lookalike) is young and already drinking nicely.
Full bodied and intense with medium minus acidity.
Showing black plums, blackberries, oak, spices, chocolates, coffee, alcohol, licorice and peppercorn.
Soft finish with bitter herbs.
Good right out of the bottle and better with airtime. Only after 45 minutes of airtime, tannins show up.
A little unbalanced right now, with some RS, but will be better in 3 to 5 years. Spicy, tangy and hot.
Doesn't show like a Pinot Noir, but enjoyable and good for parties.
14.8% alcohol by volume.
88 points.
$50.

Jan 10th, 2024This was excellent. Delicious, fruity, juicy, very smooth and drinkable, light tannins and not very earthy for a Pinot.

"Beautiful deep ruby in colour, the intense nose releases blackberry, raspberry, ripe plum, cranberry and hints of chocolate, vanilla and a slight earthy note. The palate delivers a complex mix of ripe red and black fruit, exotic spice but also a farm yard earthiness that works very well with the oak infused vanilla notes."
