Tart lemon, bread dough, pear, green apple, round but fine texture on the palate. No oak on the palate but texture from it. Medium acidity, medium+ finish and intensity. 100% Chard. Higher elevation, east facing slope. Oaked elevage. 5 years on lees.

The best of these rival Champagne for pure quality, without a doubt. I particularly love this 100% Chardonnay displaying intense minerality and beautiful, soft effervescence (Satén= less than 5 atmospheres pressure). Blossoms, stone fruit, hint of brioche. Wonderfully composed, pure and complex vintage blend.

Sitting on Lake Como, enjoying time with my family. I believe this is my first experience having a vintage Franciacorta. I am beyond impressed. 100% Chardonnay; Apple, baked pear and an almost imperceptible hint of sweetness, lightly yeasty, baked crust and apple blossoms. A pleasure to behold. Paired well with most everything on the table. Another reason for the Champagne region to take note! I would love a case of this.
