Was super excited to crack this open! Wine was ruby red and dark at the core. Nose had us really worried, with a ton of prunes, glue, whiskey and slightly medicinal. The surprise and what saved this was the palate. Moderate tannins (6.5/10) and moderate plus body. Palate was very complex with notes of dark cherries and something similar to creme de cassis but darker, and solid acidity. Long finish of dark cherries. Drink till 2018. Would love to try some of their younger wines!
