Griffin's Lair Vineyard Syrah

Holy tannins Batman! Grip, strength and depth. Bacon that is cut through with razor sharp tannins. This wine definitely has not peaked at all. Wish I had a couple more bottles.

Creamy boysenberry. Beautiful brightness with the co-fermentation of 3% viognier

Fair amount of blue and black fruit but the tannins remain fairly sturdy. For now, best with along decant and served with fatty food.

2014 Vintage. 14.2% Alcohol. Good fruit and acidity but still some tannins to resolve to fully shine. Whole cluster stems no doubt. Nice to see others have access to this fruit.

Wow. Rich and very warm. Flat out delicious

Incredibly fragrant and dense. Excellent Syrah

Needs years. But after a decant the nose was a savory beast. Tannins still locked down after hours open.

Fiercely tannic and beautifully extracted. Smoked meat tones and herbs balance the fruit. Needs YEARS or a LONG decant

Flowers and exotic spices on the nose, cured meat, crushed rock, very tannic. Give this a long decant or (preferably) several years.

The aromatics on this are amazing, tastes pretty good too 😉
