The wine pours an opaque violet color with intriguing and appealing smoke, black fruit, briary spice aromas. On the palate it's medium-bodied, fresh and sleek with a great mouth feel, and dusty tannins with black cherries dusted with dark chocolate, and black raspberry flavors with a bit of minerality. 2011 Vintage

Deep & ripe without becoming raisiny, oak is there but no vanilla. Well done!

The wine evolved in the glass and in the mouth. Let it breath for an hour. Loads of sweet black fruit...ripe, but not cooked...blackberry, blueberry, black cherry and plumb but with hints of cranberry and red cherry to add a tart element. Plenty of acidity and a dry finish keeps balanced. Perfect for burgers...good burgers.
