10’ The Debate Dr Crane Vineyard. A dark ruby/purple color, lovely blueberry & boysenberry fruit notes intermixed with hints of graphite & flint .This is layered & concentrated core. A bit chewy & slightly short finish. Nice wine.

THE DEBATE!!! I love this winery and the story behind it. Wine is meant to bring people together and us meant to be enjoyed, SHARED & discussed! I dig this winery!!! Amazing wine this evening. Deep, dark and luscious, in my opinions minute step beyond the next bottle BUT 2 this evening preferred it to the next which I preferred. So I guess., the Debate continues!! All kidding aside., buy it if you can get it. Sold in a 3-pack. 100 point beauty & a 98-96. Can't beat that trio!! We uncorked 2 of three and no debate about it......we should've uncorked the3rd!! 😜👌👌😜 whoops! My bad! Lol

Much better than the 2011, I’ve never had a La Mission Haut Brion so I wouldn’t know, but If this comes across as one then I scored at $80.00, but I’m doubtful in that comparison
Parkers 95 + review as follows The profound 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Dr. Crane Vineyard (15.1% alcohol) is another La Mission Haut Brion lookalike. Rich, with notes of charcoal embers, barbecue smoke, blueberry and blackberry liqueur, violets and a touch of wood spice, it is full-bodied, powerful, concentrated, layered and impressive. Drink it over the next 25-30 years.
Like the wines themselves, larger-than-life Frenchman Jean Hoefliger is the winemaking consultant behind the small quantities of The Debate, where he has partnered with Rob McKay. After the incredibly successful 2013s, Hoefliger has followed up with equally fine 2014s, which are nearly as concentrated as the 2013s, slightly less structured, but for most consumers, more delicious and fruit forward, although several of these wines would certainly merit some bottle age to shed tannin.
