Face off between two similarly priced Bien Nacido PInots. The Sandler is light with a gorgeous Burgundian nose. The Beckon is medium with more cherry. Sandler wins!

Vanilla Coke in an oversized bottle. Juicy and warm but the oak isn’t well integrated.

Fairly classic Bien Nacido. Bright raspberry fruit with fresh, lush and floral aromatics. Very lifted and pure.

This one packs a punch for a Pinot, dark fruit but not enough of it. A little pricey for what it is, drinkable but not my favorite.

We got this on a closeout. Decent, single vineyard PN. Taste like Pinot: tart red fruit, a little wet dirt, good acidity. Probably drinking better now with a little age on it.

A middle of the road offering, IMO. Nothing outstanding, but still a solid mid-week drinker.

Light berry flavors on the front. Some, maybe needs to mature a little. Delightful.

V15. Enjoyable wine. Nice smoke and cedar nose. Raspberry, and black cherry fruit. Tart, earthy, mocha and black pepper finish. Nicely balanced

Fresh black raspberries and blackberries on the nose with some warm spices, smooth on the palate but with some tingly tannins, light oak and vanilla with some baking spices, long finish. Bigger, spicier flavor than a typical California pinot.
