One of the best Grenaches in CA and it's from Ballard Canyon. Spice, red fruits, black fruits, pepper, cinnamon and tin can. Very nice balance in the mouth and perfectly good finish.

Smells and tastes of stewed black fruit (super sweet plums), graphite, Asian spices, sticks/stems, and dare I say smoky bubble gum. Rich, ripe, and smooth. A little heated in the after taste but it is 15.5%abv.

Reviewing the EXP bottling of the PMV Grenache. Ruby red with no oxidation visible. Fruity nose but a bit understated. Leathery red raspberry supple tannins. High alcohol yes but the wine is so rich it Carrie’s the day. Love this varietal especially from the Beckmen’s. Drink or hold for a couple more.

Crystal clear garnet color. Subdued fruity and leathery nose. Gorgeous red raspberry and fig on the palate with a touch of tannins. Supple and long finish. Drinking with wood grill sirloin. Damn fine Grenache. Drink now or hold another couple years.
