Very ripe, reminiscent of California pinots. Black fruit and spices. Still had nice acidity though. I didn't mind it.

Not bad once it was open a couple hours, but nothing to pay 80 bucks for either. The roses, light but very ripe bramble fruit, fresh earth and raw spices were fairly typical and not exactly out of balance, but the concentration was a bit much to call it elegant. The nice velvety texture got overwhelmed first by the very heavy body, then by noticeable heat that made me check the label for abv and, yep, sure enough: 14.8%. I'm not a low alcohol dogmatist, but that's unacceptable in Willamette Valley pinot. I'm grateful for the restrained oak presence, and I didn't NOT enjoy this, but this isn't one of their better efforts.

Drinking beautifully for a 10 year old. Still has time to age.

Stewed dark fruit but with enough acidity to keep it from going over the top. Paired beautifully with non traditional pork tenderloin Thanksgiving meal.
