More Californian than Burgundian. High new oak use. Sour lemons, green apple, pineapple, lilies, thick, lots of chalk, good acidity and round finish.

Gold color with a tiny bit of effervescence. Nose of apples, oak, and toast. Medium body, quite dry, mildly acidic. Peaches, honey, lemon, and brioche on palate.

2011 Beaux Freres Vineyard Chardonnay - Very fresh nose, with ripe pineapple, freshly-sliced orange, and baked apple with green apple and lime greeting the tongue. Honey comes out on the mid-palate, contrasted by salinity. Finishes with fresh lemons that goes! @Kaitlin Ohlinger A great surprise at today's tasting!
