Maestro Collection Ranch No. 2 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon
Another great wine by BV. Rich, smooth, with lots of dark fruit coming through with just a bit of that Rutherford dust on the back end.

1 person found it helpfulJan 2nd, 2015Pretty nice but not complex. A lot of stewed dark fruit, plum, some wood, pretty firm tannins, a touch of new leather, brambley (is that a word?), a bit high in alcohol for my taste. A pretty solid Cabernet, but not very inspiring.

Sep 25th, 2016Cherry on the nose. Dark chocolate. Velvety plum coats the tongue. This one really needs to breathe.

Post 500. Taking it old school with a winery that helped introduce and foster wine appreciation for me. Dark fruit, integrated tannins, with long smooth finish. BV still making great representative Napa Cab.

Nov 2nd, 2016Always been a fan of BV so had bought a Flight of the maestro this being 2010. I think it could have spent many years in the cellar but was eager to taste. Needs opening 20-30 minutes in a Bordeaux goblet but worth the wait. The real deal
