A seriously enjoyable wine that was big and full bodied with notes of cigar and a touch of leather. For the price, a real winner.

Full bodied, but there is some earthy elements amongst all that ripe fruit. Big and delicious.

Sleeper of a wine! Didn’t know what to expect and it exceeded expectations. For a 2011 it still had plenty of youth and vibrance.

Very good. Less punchy than cab. Still pretty jammy and sweet.

Absolutely beautiful example of a 100% Cab Franc. Decanted for an hour before drinking. Lightly sweet on the front (almost apple-y) with a pleasing acidity on the whole mouth-feel. The typical Cabernet tannins show up at the end, but it's a kinder and more humble version compared to the big red Cabernet Sauvignon cousins. Will likely explore more Cab Franc instead of Cab Sauv next time at the wine store. Paired excellently with slow cooked beef shanks and a chilled out folk music playlist off Spotify.

Dark fruits, licorice, tarragon notes. Not a typical cab franc but very delicious.
