Tannic, fruitier than I expected for a cab franc. Astringent on the tip of my tongue. A little pyrazine.

Very dark ruby/black color. Aromas of black cherry and dark plums with hints of leather and forest floor. The palate is full of dark plum, cassis, black olives and spices with a distinct green pepper/pyrazine note. Very long, earthy, oaky and sour/bitter finish. Alcohol burn is present and the wine is a bit out of balance. The tannins are silky and the texture is somewhat meaty. Bold, plush and brash! Better the second day.
