It is full of ripe red plums and polished earthy notes of game and soil. The plate is considerably spicier, with drips of black pepper and drops of olive brine. It is totally tasty and easy to sip (slowly) solo, but it would be even more prime with food.

This was the only kind of stand out at a tiny hole in the wall LQ store. With all the usual commercial brands I chose this one out of desperation. Not a bad find for the price. Had good standard GSM notes. Slight chill was helpful. Surprisingly balanced.

So so so much cranberry mid palate. Incredibly dominant. Surrounded by tannin and chalky spice but it's too damn overpowering.

The wine exhibited a medium red-purple color with few to no legs. The initial smell was of sour red fruit, light wood, graphite, and chicken broth. The wine also had an unusual a subtle burnt plastic smell, which faded over time. Upon tasting, the wine is sweet and tart with higher acidity and slight bitterness. It was medium bodied, and tasting reveals much more of the light wooden, and chicken dripping flavor. After savoring, more spicy flavors of black pepper and christmas pine become apparent. The finish is vegetal, reminding me of broccoli or steamed green beans. After tasting I tried some spanish black truffle sheep’s cheese, which surprisingly paired quite well. The cheese brought out the savory chicken broth flavor, and more of the smokiness, and the saltiness of the cheese made the wine taste sweeter by comparison. I would purchase again given the price, and would use it first cooking.
