Mar 5th, 2022Casalferro 100% merlot. Tasted in the tasting room after an outstanding privilege tour and tasting in the castle. Dark ruby coloration. On the nose, cherry pepper, mineral, oak and vanilla. On the palate, cherry, vanilla, mineral, full body, vanilla and spice in the finish. Tannins are strong. 2016. Ordered a few bottles to taste more leisurely back home. This merlot has nice potential.
