Slight bricking on the edges. Cranberry, sour cherries and cedar finishes with white pepper heat and a slight vegetal tone. Drinking at peak right now.

Very nice with some simple grilled meats off the barby. Great red cherry fruit (maybe a hint of pomegranate) and a savory component that made for a great pairing.

Apr 16th, 2019Restrained nose. Meager flavors. High alcohol. Falls flat relative to Barnett's other pinots. Disappointing. Not the norm for Barnett. Bottle variation?

Full bodied Pinot (think Pommard) - jammy with depth and structure. Barnett's pinots are usually not their strong point (fabulous Cab and Merlot from Spring Mountain) but this wine is singing.
