This is an intense, powerful, old-school Spanish wine that needs about three weeks' decanting before drinking. Leather, mushrooms, and quite a bit of Brett eventually give way to dried strawberries, raspberries, and roses. 100% Garnacha - could do with a bit more acidity, but has plenty of tannins from the oak. So Spanish. And all with a beautiful label.

Well this is an interesting wine! Nose like a port, even PX sherry. Not at all, though, in taste. Very tasty.

Bright Strawberry-like aromas with an Umami (Chesenurger) note. More of the same on the palette, with a silky mouthfeel and a very long finish. This old world Grenache is what many new world Granaches want to be, but miss the mark (with some exceptions), in my opinion.
