Valgella Valtellina Superiore Nebbiolo
Valtellina, Sondrio, Lombardia, Italy
Very very resolved and ready to go. This exemplifies all the classic nebbiolo character, tart red fruit, asphalt, cave like minerality with cedar, but, there is this touch of smoke or kerosene i cant really understand. This is intriguing and complex. Incredible value here!

Resolved silky balsamic cherry mountain Nebbiolo. Deserved more of a meal than we gave it; pretty damn delicious with mushroom pizza.

Subtle, elegant, understated. Interesting backstory. Vineyard so steep that workers use climbing gear and helicopters for harvest.

Awesome and still tasting youthful. Nebbiolo, but the the Piedmont style. Valtellina is very different. Lighter in color and body, yet utterly delicious.

Tasted at Terroni centrale. Still lively with distinct cherry top note, rose petals. Fades over time so do not decant but delicious and elusive, classic nebbiolo.
