Russian River Valley Pinot Noir

Very Russian Riverish...nice Strawberries, fruit forward.

Wente and Pommard clones--lively nose.

Black cherry, plum, vanilla, and white pepper on the nose. Spice, a bit of alcohol that has not yet burned off, more full bodied with cured black olive (salinity), black pepper, red raspberries. A budding superstar.

Oak, vanilla, and dark fruit on the nose. Red currant, black cherry, plum, white pepper, and deep complexity of flavor. A hint of autumn leaves.

a little tobacco. Also a little muted on the palate and a bit thin. Cherries, red raspberries, vegetal, red currant.

lots of earth and mushrooms on the nose; vegetal, black raspberries, spice, burned cinnamon stick, tobacco, and earth on the palate. Still some heat on the follow through. Layered with depth and a lingering body.

Drank over three days. Bold, ripe fruit and earth on the nose and on the palate. There are a lot of berry flavors with hints of both sweet (plum, black raspberry) and acerbic (cherry, red raspberry). There is also a smooth tone of earthiness, leather, tobacco and vanilla. Wonderful and complex.

First bottle of the season. Fantastic.

Always solid. Lots of layers here. Earthy with nice dark red fruit.
