Bacci Wines
Invetro SuperTuscan Blend

Marco Bacci purchased the property in 1997 which is located in the southeast of Montalcino, on the southern border facing Monte Amiata. A blend of 50% Sangiovese, 25% Cab Sauv & 25% Merlot. Invetro means “in the glass” so this wine has a “glass cork” thus surrounding all the wine by glass. Berry & floral aromas with earthy notes. On the palate cherry & blackberry with a jolt of earthy spice. Fine tannins, a bit harsh, lively acidity, medium finish ending with earthy mineral. Tasting Sample.

Lovely bouquet of pie spices, toasted nuts, ripe cherries, charred meats, marzipan. Plums, red cherries, cranberry with notes of cinnamon, and peppercorn, with tobacco and black tea tannins. Very nice

Feb 22nd, 2020Woodsy, twigs, and touch of lime on the nose. Black cherry, blackberry, and watermelon rind finish on the palate. Tastes hotter than the 14% abv and really needs a day to open up. Very solid, and sings with salt and fat. Well priced at $18-20, but there are just so many $12-15 killer Sangiovese nipping at it's heels.
