Renieri comprises 128 hectares in the southern quadrant of Montalcino, on slopes that face Monte Amiata. A blend of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon with aromas of ripe red fruits with fragrant earthy notes. On the palate cherry and berry fruits with notes of spice. Fine tannins, juicy acidity on medium crisp finish ending with earthy mineral tones. Best now, Tasting Sample.

High acidity would pair nicely with certain Italian dishes. Ripe cherry, floral, and a bit of undergrow peek through. Nice complexity. S, Cab S, Merlot blend which doesn't disappoint but doesnt wow either. Let it breath for +45m

2013v. Medium garnet color. On the nose, a little red licorice and that bright red Flintstone vitamin smell of cherry and iron that I associate with sangiovese. On the palette, there's really ripe and tart red cherry, lingering acidity that isn't over the top, and youthful medium tannins that cling to the walls of your mouth. Definitely not the complexity of aged chianti, but this affordable and balanced super Tuscan could be the house red at any reasonable restaurant or your weeknight bottle. 14% ABV.
