The profume on this wine is fantastic. And, there is a true heart and soul. On the palate, fantastic.

A 30 min decant, colour deep brickred, nose loads of cherries, taste soft, delicious no tannins, wow🙏

My first Nervi wine under the new label of Conterno. As a big fan of "Valferana" of the former years, of course this was the first bottle I wanted to uncork. I must say, that these bottles were freshly shipped from Italy, so this post is more like a first impression rather than a reliable TN.

It is a very promising wine, not only because 2014 was in general a better vintage than in the Barolo area for example. It has a huge, typical Gattinara nose: quite Burgundian, with bright red fruit, raspberries, wild flowers and spices. In the palate you feel that the wine is very delicate but mostly nervous and a little bit tart, hence the flavors are more closed than in the nose. Red stone fruit, fine tannins. Yet, this wine will develop in a great way, as you can feel the intensity it has. Can't wait to open a next bottle in like half a year.

Light colour, strong aroma, tanning at first sip. Need time to open up.
