Trentino Marzemino
Marzemino. 2010. Trentino, Italy.
It’s great. Old and standing strong still. Pretty big, sweet fruit on the front. Blackberry or black cherry. Back gets a little tannic, with like something like dusty ash on the finish.
Easy and medium bodied. Chill it even. V cool.

Nov 27th, 2018This was a standout at a 50-wine tasting. The acidity is strong but not dominating. Graphite and black tea push forward as flavors that get your attention early. Funnily enough the fruit - mulberries, elderberries, sour blueberries and dark plums - comes in behind the more mineral notes. But absolutely none of this drags the wine down. It stays light all the way through - lithe and electric. You don't have to work hard. Truly delicious.
