Continuing with the Italian theme..... This is a Cabernet blend with Merlot and a small amount of Aglianico. 2002 was not a good vintage in most parts of Italy but this showed well. Less mint and more savoury herbal notes - some black fruits. Campania being further south and warmer than Bolgheri, home of the Super Tuscans. Sweet warm fruit. A good effort for the year.

Deep, dark colour, brownish rim.
Notes of black cherry, smoked ham, summer asphalt, cedar and potpourri.
Still holding up but its definately time to drink these.
