Wow, spectacular! An icon of a wine from Campania and a blend of Cabernet, Merlot and Aglianico. I had only known this wine previously from its reputation but this was the first time getting to pop one open. It was made that much better by pizza and pasta at Oenotri! Just an incredible effort and worth seeking out more IGTs like this one.

Not as feral and brutal I thought it would be. There's great finesse and elegance in this dark Southern Belle.
Bordeaux-esque notes of cedar, tobacco, grilled veggies and graphite combined with more Piemontese associations like plum, black cherry, rose petals and asphalt. Terrific.

Tobacco, cedar and plums on the nose and in the mouth. Plenty of structure to hold it together for many years.
