Dinner party, notes will be limited.
Beautiful, while Cabernet dominant, the Aglianco does show through.

Simply one of best and most balanced southern Italian reds I’ve had all year. The Aglianico dominates the nose. Wonderfully dense and layered, beautiful tannin structure.

The Aglianico, while only 10% of the blend, really shines through. Pencil shavings, leather, and maybe a hint of Brett dominate the nose at first, though eventually with time and air it opens up to reveal some black currant and black plum. Solidly structured with tannins that held up to a tomahawk ribeye even after all this time in bottle. Fun bottle.

2009 is most definitely showing its elegance in 2014. The 2011 still needs some time.

A classic. 2010 (the 19th vintage) marks the change to a higher percentage of Aglianico. So fresh the shift reads. Higher Aglianico portions to come.
