Another great bottle by Le Ragnaie. More earthy and herbal than the ‘08 Fornace. Also, surprisingly light on its feet.

Pretty spectacular right now. Somehow the nose is white burgundy, with hazelnut and ginger, and even lemon. Lovely integration of oak. Good length, lots of fruit and structure. Better and slightly less herbal than the bottle of this ~6 months ago with @Andrew Mecoli !

Full bodied on the finish, though this overall emits an elegant, persistent texture and perfume like aroma. Red berries, fresh flowers, earthy minerality and supple spice highlight the nose and palate.

Wine 4 at #MVON 6
A little bit of horse play going on, just a touch of Brett.
Still structured if not a little short.

Old school DOCG 36 months in Slovenian oak has given it a cool brick like orange hue.
Dusty.

The overall consensus is that it's not too sour

What a gem! Brought it from Bologna this year; worth every effort hauling it all the way!! Beautiful color!! Mellow, but multilayered with very long finish. Starts with flowers, progresses to cherry and red currant, and then fresh oak and green leaves with hint of plums.
Great for well deserved Christmas dinner!! I am happy!!
