Orange wine indeed! Fresh, sweet citrus, peach skin and fresh herbs, subtle and very fine tannin. Terracotta amphorae aged on skins with indigenous yeast. 100% Grecanico and organic. Completely clear and no hazy and milky look to the appearance. I like this a lot! #skinferment #sicilia #orangewine #cos

Turmeric, quince and melon. Savory goodness with nice minerals and skin tannin structure!

See prior note, though I'd add some watermelon to the palate and that it is very, very floral right now!

Reddish orange color. Complex and very aromatic expressing orange peel, melon, beeswax, balsamic vinegar, and oxidative notes reminiscent of sherry. Medium bodied on the palate with food friendly acidity and only 11.5% alcohol leading to a somewhat saline finish with just a hint of phenolic bitterness. Named after the Greek containers used for bulk storage of fluids and grains, itโ€™s made from 100% Greciano a.k.a. Garganega which is the variety used to make Soave. It is a so called orange wine made from extended skin contact of 7 months in amphora.

Kicking off NYE at Gyst with some amber wine. Dried apricot, dried white florals, saline oxidative character, black tea. Nice medium (+) acid, medium (-) tannin, bone dry. Great texture from the skin contact, medium body. So yummy with Gyst's Motherboard!

Fermented in its skins in Anfora, terra cotta vessels. Also more textural and aromatic.
