Leather and something fishy on the nose. Blooming raspberry, cranberry, violet flavors. Brickish color and tannins are well-managed but still intense. Lightweight but heavy hitting in finish like Bob Sanders. Remember him?

Nice, Twenty Two Bomens, Newport 5/16 2015. Very smooth and silky, warm on the palate. Wild berry flavors. The Nebbiolo grape has become one of our favorites.

Needs some time to air out. A little too much alcohol on the nose at first. Given some time, it comes around nicely. A burst of bright red fruits rounds out with a touch of spice and a hint of vanilla. Citrus and orange peel on the back end. Powerful wine--would pair well with bold flavors.
